Here’s a search engine at creativecommons.org that helps you find free photos and images, free video, free music (including mp3, wav, AAC, and more…), text, and other works whose authors want you to re-use it under certain scenarios — without having to pay or ask permission.
I’m a big fan of creative commons, and have mentioned them before.
