By Pitchfork

Pitchfork’s Show No Mercy has teamed up Blackened Music to present a new music series called Tinnitus. Tinnitus will focus on composers of extreme sound.

The first installment takes place October 18 with a performance by Ben Frost at The Wick in Brooklyn. Support acts are to be announced.

Tickets are $15 in advance, available here. (They will be $20 at the door.) Doors open at 8 p.m., and the music starts at 9. This is a 21+ event.

The Australian-born, Iceland-based composer Frost released his great album A U R O R A earlier this year. Read our “Guest List” interview with him here.
