‘Twin Peaks’ returns in 2016 after 25-year hiatus

“Twin Peaks,” the ABC series that was a forerunner of today’s offbeat serialized cable dramas, is coming back to life with nine new episodes to air on Showtime in 2016, according to both Showtime and David Lynch.

 

In a statement issued by Showtime, David Lynch and Frost quipped: “The mysterious and special world of Twin Peaks is pulling us back. We’re very excited. May the forest be with you.”
